Summary: Very close to the original game for the PS3, Valkyria Chronicles . Looks very pretty, dialog and characters are just as corny, but the game play is still great, deep, fresh (a variant of the turn based style I haven't seen in any other game). If you have the ability to download though, you can now (Dec 31, 2010) get it for slightly less than half the price from PSN.
Summary: I didn't think sega could top the first Valkyria Chronicles but they have with this sequel. More of the same great strategy gameplay with added customization and depth, characters that are even better than the first with specific missions that flesh out they're personality. This will be a front runner for best handheld game of the year, buy it!.
Summary: Firstly, Valkyria Chronicles 2 is not as good as the first game. However, that does not make it a bad game. Judged on its own merits, this is a great game. If you want more Valkyria Chronicles in the states, this is the best you're going to get. Secondly, being a PSP game and all, the visuals are nowhere near as stunning as the first game on the PS3. That's to be expected, of course, but it's just a bit of a bummer given how lovely that first game was and still is.
Summary: Very character driven and the game play mechanics are certainly unique. The character's I found were deeper and more well rounded. Take the main three for example. Its the basic three group structure one hot headed guy, the cool headed guy and the girl but they go beyond this a bit by making the hot head look for answers through quotes he wrote down by his brother and what he does with that is just have instant one phrase speeches. The cool headed guy for once isn't the...
Summary: When Sega’s Valkyria Chronicles came out for the PlayStation 3 in 2008, it received numerous awards, consequentially prompting its developer to turn the game into a franchise. However, rather than continue the series on the PS3, Sega instead shifted it to the PlayStation Portable, irritating some fans. However, the sequel largely outclasses its predecessor in virtually every aspect.
