Worse Story Than Jak 2 But Better Game Play (Mostly)

Veil_Lord, Amazon
14 August 2013
  • Summary: If you've played games like Red Faction Guerrilla or Saint's Row 2 or Saint's Row The Third, you can picture this as the Pong of those style. It's an early attempt at a not quite linear game with lots of people and traffic on the street. It sort of works.

A testament to Naughty Dog's skill, it ends the trilogy on a high.

Blank864, Dooyoo
15 April 2010
  • Excerpt: Naughty Dog has an impressive pedigree. Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Daxter have earned well deserved reputations for producing consistent, engaging, even genre-defining quality. This is very evident at the start of each series, as the adventures are fresh to the gaming public - yet as we all know,...

jameshall..., Ciao
24 February 2010
  • Excerpt: Jak 3 is obviously the third installment in a series of 4, and I'm going to be reviewing it on the Playstation 2. The first is called Jak and Daxter, the second Jak II: Renegade, and this, the third, Jak 3. There is now also Jak X available.
  • Pros: Dune buggies and shooting
  • Cons: Not as challenging as Jak and Daxter

Original story and well worth buying

Dangey2009, Dooyoo
23 February 2010
  • Excerpt: Jak and Jak II were fantastic games so when Jak III was brought out for Playstation 2 I had to get it and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The series started off with a mute hero and a comical rodent sidekick and has transformed into a dark story about an angry hero and comical rodent trying to...

Kind of fun, but gets repetitive...

Parker, Amazon
30 May 2008
  • Summary: I loved the original Jak and Daxter. I was shocked with the complexity of Jak 2. I hated it even. Jak 3 is better than Jak 2, but it combines some elements of the second in the series with the adventure in the first.

4 December 2007
  • Summary: Well, I played this for about 2 minutes at a friend's house and I got bored. I was playing the ridiculous gladiator level at the beginning and this random purple electricity came along and Jac suddenly was suspended in mid-air then some lava came through the ground then Jac did a weird dance and...
