Simular to Rock Band

Kevin Barton, Amazon
3 July 2011
  • Summary: I am sure that Guitar Hero has a competition to Rock Band. On the other hand I would only do guitar; bass and drums only, but no singing for me.

World Tour

Harris Macklin "roadhockey", Amazon
24 March 2010
  • Summary: If you really want a World Tour I would recommend Rock Band or Rock Band 2. To me the sound is a lot better. Here it often seems muffled by Crowd Noise. Navigating around also seems slower though I can't say I timed it and compared. I prefer Rock Band but this is great too.

Great game, more of the same

SJ, Amazon
24 November 2008
  • Summary: If you're familiar with the Guitar Hero/Rock Band series, Guitar Hero: World Tour is more of the same. This time there's lots more songs and some new features that were probably good in theory, but not well executed. That being said, this is still a great game and it's lots of fun. The downside is that for every good track, there's a lousy one you have to get through. They sometimes pick songs you wouldn't know from artists that you would know.

Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar

Ryaku, REVIEW STREAM
  • Excerpt: Included inside a Guitar Hero World Tour package, is the new Guitar Hero Guitar. This guitar is different from the previous Guitar Hero Guitars, as it comes with some extra features and it is also a different shape. These new features include a finger-slide bar. This is used in-game to play notes which don’t require strumming.

Guitar Hero World Tour Drums

Ryaku, REVIEW STREAM
  • Excerpt: With Guitar Hero World Tour, a drum-set is included. This is the first time that Guitar Hero has ever sold a peripheral that isn’t a guitar . I had my doubts about the drum kit, as this was the first time that they had every made one, however I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the promotional video of it being played by Travis Barker from Blink 182.

Guitar Hero World Tour for kids or adults?

samlev28, Ciao
18 October 2009
  • Excerpt: "...year old who recently purchased Guitar Hero World Tour. My reasoning for purchasing the game was to have fun with some friends. I got the game, set it up, and began to play. I had played regular guitar hero before so I decided to play the guitar since I had played in the past. One of my friends is a singer so she decided to sing. Now that just left the drums and my question... The guitar and microphone are easy enough for a kid but the drums maybe ...
  • Pros: guitar, song selection
  • Cons: drum kit
