    When people say this lens gives "prime" quality in a zoom they aren't kidding. I'm using this on my D800 and the image quality is astounding. It performs extremely well when stopped down, too, without much sharpness killing diffraction. If you shoot a lot of wide angle and have the budget I highly recommend this lens. It's professional build and professional IQ. Read more

    Initially I got this lens for my D200 to try to get a wider angle than I was able to achieve with the 18-200 mm lens I have. Of course I didn't gain much of an additional angle because of that small sensor in the D200 but I benefited none the less. I found my group shots were a lot sharper than before. I found I could operate in lousy light and still have reasonable exposures. And I found that even when I did panoramas they came out crisp and sharp. Read more
