I rented this lens for a week as part of the seemingly never-ending learning process. I may end up passing on this lens ONLY because as it turns out, the focal length may not be what I truly need. The accuracy & speed of the focus mechanism, as compared to my Sigma DG APO 70-300mm Macro, are simply stunning. The colour saturation also just seems better (at the same exposure settings). Pictures I took turned out to be the most sharp I've yet taken. Read more

  • Manufacturer's Description

Telephoto lens boasting high image quality and carrying case. With two UD-glass elements and rear focusing to correct aberrations, image delineation is extremely sharp. Background blur is also natural-looking, as was simulated by Canon. The lens comes with a dedicated, detachable hood.
