The Canon Vixia HG20 is a High Definition 1/3.2 inch CMOS Sensor, RGB Primary Color Filter video camcorder with 3.3 Megapixels effective pixels / 2.07 Megapixels (1920 x 1080) in video mode / 2.76 Megapixels (1920 x 1080) stills. It records up to LP (5 Mbps) 22 hours 55 minutes/SP (7 Mbps) 18 hours/XP+ (12 Mbps) 10 hours 50 minutes/FXP (17 Mbps) 7 hours 50 minutes/MXP (24 Mbps) 5 hours 30 minutes on its 60GB Internal Hard Disk Drive and allows memory expandibility via SDHC Memory Card. It has 12x Optical / 200x Digital zoom with f=4.8 - 57mm folca length and Variable / 3 Fixed Zoom Speeds. The VIXIA HG20 features 1920 x 1080 high definition resolution video that can be recorded onto a 60GB Hard Disk Drive. 1440 x 1080 resolution video recording allows up to 45 hours and 15 minutes of video, while MXP mode at 1920 x 1080 resolution gives 24Mbps recording, with a full 11 hours and 5 minutes of video. It also features memory expandability with SDHC memory cards, Genuine Canon 12x HD zoom lens for long shots, and wide shots with three pre-set zoom speeds, Super Spectra Coating technology that reduces flare and ghosting, aspheric lens reduces aberration and increases resolution and gradation neutral density (ND) system gives correct exposures in bright shooting situations with a 200x digital zoom.
